Zoom Language & Culture with Cass Lowry, Ph.D. Candidate as a Guest: "Living and Researching in the Caucasus"

Cass Lowry is a Ph.D. student in the Linguistics Program at The Graduate Center, CUNY, where he studies theoretical morphosyntax and psycholinguistics. 

In his early twenties he traveled to the country of Georgia, which is nestled between Turkey and Russia, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. He was first drawn there by his interest in education—he had gone to college to become an elementary school teacher. But living and traveling in the region for a year sparked an interest in language and cultural studies.
