Modified, in-person format, with all state-mandated restrictions and safety guidelines in place
The annual NJCU Summer Camp has become a staple in the Hudson County community and while many camps across the state were closed this summer due to the pandemic, NJCU’s Community Rec Summer Camp was able to successfully operate in a modified, in-person format, with all state-mandated restrictions and safety guidelines in place. While enrollment capacity was capped this year, beginning on July 6, the Community Rec department hosted three two-week sessions for children ages 6-12, with a median attendance age of eight and an average enrollment of 20 children per session.
The NJCU Summer Camps are geared towards offering a rewarding experience for your child. The camp features facilities both indoor and outdoor, including an indoor pool, 3 hardwood courts, an outdoor athletic complex with collegiate regulation size soccer, softball, and baseball fields and private locker rooms. Our goal is to create a safe and fun atmosphere for our neighborhood children where they can play, learn, and grow. We offer exciting activities such as swimming, team sports, arts and crafts, and relay/obstacle courses. Our staff is highly experienced, enthusiastic, and excited to educate your child on the importance of staying active!
