Proyecto Science Application

Applying for Proyecto Science

Welcome back returning students and welcome new students! Submitting an application expresses your interest in joining the program. Acceptance decisions take into account both available funding and spaces for first-year students.

If you are accepted, you will receive additional paperwork to formally confirm your participation. Completing an application does not guarantee enrollment but is the necessary first step to be considered for this selective summer science program.

The number of openings for incoming new students is limited each year, depending upon the incoming grade level of the students applying. Proyecto Science aims to build a high-ability cohort best positioned to thrive in this intensive environment, with emphasis on selecting 7th grade students who seek to continue through all four years of the program.

We encourage all promising students with passion for STEM subjects to apply. Even if students are not selected this year, they may reapply the following summer.

First Year Application Process New, Incoming Students

Parent and Student Applying

First year applications require the following supporting documentation to be submitted by their teachers and school guidance counselors in addition to their completed application. Without all these documents, your application will be incomplete and cannot be processed.

It is highly recommended that students request a letter of recommendation from their teachers and parents request release of the Report Card and Accommodation Information (if applicable) immediately after students decide to apply for the program.

All First Year Applicants must have their parent or guardian register for an Open House. Both Parents/Guardians & Students are expected to attend the Open House together. Parents/Guardians will  receive an access code to be able to start the online application. Individual access codes will be distributed to all parents/guardians during the Open House.
