Earn College Credits for Your Work Experience

The New Jersey Prior Learning Assessment Network (NJ PLAN) is a consortium of New Jersey colleges and universities providing an opportunity for their students to earn credit toward their degrees through prior learning assessment (PLA).

Through NJ PLAN, students can earn credit for what they already know, and save time and money in the process. If you have college-level learning that you have acquired through work, training, military, hobbies or other experiences, you might be able to earn college credit!

What is Prior Learning Assessment

The participating colleges and universities in NJ PLAN understand that many students, especially adults and nontraditional students, possess college-level knowledge that they did not acquire in a traditional classroom.
