Our Plans for a Safe Return to Teaching, Learning, Living, and Working

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, NJCU has remained focused on one primary tenet: The health and well-being of the NJCU community. As we implement our reopening plan, we will continue to place the health and safety of students, faculty and staff at the heart of every decision we make.

Our reopening is the result of the work of three working groups on Health and Safety, Academic Affairs, and Student Life/External Affairs. The three committees followed guidelines, recommendations and best practices set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), NJ Department of Health, Jersey City Department of Health, OSHA, and other experts in the field. We are continuing to monitor these best practices as they change, and will update our guidelines as needed.

We ask the University community to continue to remain flexible, patient and understanding as plans are implemented. Here you will find all the details about returning to campus and our policies and procedures to keep everyone safe and healthy.
