NJCU Pandemic Recovery Plan

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, New Jersey City University created three working groups—Health and Safety, Academic Affairs, and Student Life/External Affairs. Under the guidance of state and local orders, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and established best practices, these groups created a reopening plan designed to take the NJCU campus to what will become a new way of operating on campus.

Throughout the pandemic, NJCU has remained focused on one primary tenet: The health and well-being of the NJCU community. As we prepare to implement our reopening plan, we will continue to place the health and safety of students, faculty and staff at the heart of every decision we make.

NJCU will continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19 and will continue to fine tune its plan under the advisement of state public health officials and the CDC.

To this end, the guidelines outlined here may be subject to change, even after plans have been put into effect.

We ask the University community to continue to remain flexible, patient and understanding as plans unfold and as campus operations are restored within these protocols.
