The Student Investment Management Group is a team of students who invests and monitors a student-managed securities fund, with the assistance of faculty advisors. The Group was formed through the inspiration and generosity of Congressman Frank J. Guarini. Our faculty advisors consist of the follow professors at NJCU: Dr. Bernard McSherrry, Dr. George Li, Dr. Marilyn Ettinger, and Professor Christopher Versace. Our account is held at Wells Fargo Advisors with the Scorziello-Perez Financial Group.

The SIM group was created as a result of a $100,000 grant by NJ Representative Frank Guarini.

  • Students manage an actual 40 stock portfolio worth over $220,000. Stock selections are made by student stock analysis.

  • The SIM group also organizes guest speakers, financial firms site visits, and investment seminars.
