Finding the Leader in You - FLY
The FLY training program will help you gain essential soft skills that research has shown are critical to your competitiveness in the job market, effectiveness in the workplace, and development of ethical leadership abilities. The specific soft skills that FLY teaches—conscientiousness, innovativeness, taking initiative, perseverance, and problem-solving—are not only essential for succeeding in the workplace but also highly sought after by employers in a well-rounded candidate. These skills will enable you to apply the "hard" skills you have learned to real-life situations at work and in life, thereby increasing your effectiveness and achieving results.
This is a free program scheduled to take place from August 14 to 18, 2023, at NJCU, with sessions running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The program is open to a maximum of 36 students selected by NJCU. The best-performing students will have the opportunity to receive cash awards worth $10,000. FLY training is eligible for 30 hours of NJCU Professional Development Credits.
To be eligible for scholarships and other incentives, it is mandatory that you commit to attending 100% of the program, which will run from August 14 to 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at NJCU.
