Geçmiş Olsun Türkiye: Get Well, Turkey

The NJCU Psychology Society & Office of International Programs are deeply saddened by the Turkey-Syria earthquake of February 6, 2023. Our heart goes to all who have lost loved ones and have been impacted by this tragedy.

We stand in solidarity and humbly host a bilingual psychoeducational zoom hour. We are proud and privileged to interview internationally certified therapist and psychodramatist Dr. Şennur Günay Aksoy (Istanbul Galata University). The event is moderated and synchronously translated by international student Almira Lazim and Dr. Peri Yuksel, associate professor of psychology.

All are invited to peek into the life and work of a trauma-informed Turkish psychologist in her response to the acute situation in Turkey.
