Description : You don't need to be an expert in STEAM or Makerspace to integrate elements of these practices into your classroom! This workshop shares information on basic ways to enhance 21st Century learning through the use of STEAM Resources for you to explore and add to your educational practice. Participants will learn about lots of free or budget-friendly tools and solutions to help spice up classroom collaboration and encourage student innovation, while learning about grant opportunities, learning communities, professional development opportunities, and classroom activities. Participants in the session can also access an online learning community of educators managed by the presenter to share resources and educational opportunities for themselves and their students after the presentation ends.

Dana Mason is Teacher of the Year at Henry E. Harris Community School, and has published research in the Instructional Technology Council Journal, as well as in an upcoming publication entitled Emerging Technologies and the Future of Technology in the Classroom.
