Introduction to Mindfulness
This workshop series, presented in partnership with NJ Hope and Healing, is designed to strengthen the mind's ability to stay focused on what is happening right now, to meet the present moment with kindness, and to respond rather than react.
In this series, you will learn about Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and how it can actually change your neural pathways, boost your immune system, help manage pain, and promote healthier relationships. We will discuss stress triggers and healthy strategies for coping with them. Finally, you will learn how to respond to yourself & others with kindness and non-judgment, which can elevate your mood and make you happier!
