STEM MAKER DAY 2023 WOMAN WITH TECHNOLOGY

NJCU's Department of Educational Technology is Hosting Its Inaugural STEM Maker's Day on Friday, March 24.

The New Jersey City University Educational Technology Department is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a $500 grant from New Jersey Maker’s Day for its upcoming Maker's Day event. This exciting event will provide students and educators with hands-on opportunities to explore, create, and build using technology, everyday objects, and engineering.

The 2023 NJ Maker's Day at NJCU is a day-long event designed to inspire students to be creative, innovative, and inventive. The event will feature a variety of hands-on activities and workshops, including robotics, 3D printing, coding, and more. The educational technology department will work with the Jersey City Public Schools, A Harry Moore, and NJ Maker’s Day to provide resources and materials for the event.

Special education teachers, Directors of Special Services, Technology Teachers and Enthusiasts, and Parents or Family Members of Students with Disabilities are encouraged to join us in the Gilligan Student Union Building in Room 129 to make electronic toys and devices more accessible by adding buttons, switches, pedals, and more so they can be used by people with limited motor skills.

Celebrate New Jersey STEM Month this March by making everyday items more accessible!
