The NJCU Jazz Ensemble welcomes you to an exciting evening of big band music to celebrate Black History Month. The concert features the Jazz Ensemble, built from students in NJCU's jazz department, and will also showcase our special guest, world-renowned tenor saxophonist Abraham Burton. The music will span the full history of jazz and highlight works by great Black composers and bandleaders, including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, John Coltrane, and many more.

Under the direction of Nathan Eklund, the ensemble will deliver a powerful, dynamic evening for listeners of all ages that you won't forget.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
