NJCU Remembers September 11

NJCU will be releasing a video commemorating the 20th anniversary of September 11.

NJCU will be sharing reflections via social media the week leading up to September 11. If you have something you would like us to share, please complete this form.

Tuesday, September 7, 2021 | 10:15 a.m. 
The Children’s Learning Center will join the Office of Military and Veterans Services in decorating the 9/11 memorial in front of Hepburn Hall.

Wednesday, September 8, 2021 | 12 p.m. 
Michael Hurley, Adjunct Professor and former World Trade Center Fire Director will speak on Reflections of 9/11, 20 years later in GSUB 129.

Thursday, September 9, 2021 | 4 p.m. 
The Musical Theater Workshop will be presenting a concert entitled Songs of Hopefeaturing reflective and uplifting songs. This will take place in Gilligan Student Union Building, 1st Floor alcove. It will feature Musical Theatre Majors and members from NJCU’s Multi Strings Area, under the direction of Marc G. Dalio.

Friday, September 10, 2021 | 10 a.m. 
A moment of silence and reflection will be held at the 9/11 campus memorial to the right of Raines Plaza at the entrance to Hepburn Hall (Rain Location: Gilligan Student Union Building, 1st Floor Lobby.)

The Center for Community Engagement will focus on multiple service events throughout the week culminating on Saturday, September 11th.
