As Higher Education experiences evolution and revolution, is NJCU, and its faculty, staff, and administrators, ready to take on new challenges and strive to serve our increasingly diverse students in terms of their ever-changing educational needs? Are we offering academic programs, student services, and educational experiences that they really need to be successful? What are our value propositions to the students? What does an NJCU degree mean for our students in their future career and personal success? Are we creating unnecessary barriers that alienate or block our students from achieving their dreams?

Let’s listen to the students directly. The Center for Teaching and Learning presents a Student Panel Discussion on Engagement and Belonging. The student panel will consist of a student moderator and a diverse group of student panelists from different majors and fields. The Panel Discussion will have two segments. The first 30 – 45 minutes will be given to faculty, staff, and administrator to formulate a list of questions they would ask the students. The remaining 75 – 90 minutes will be given to the student panel to answer these questions. The questions will be delivered to the panelists by the student moderator, so the students will not know from whom the questions come and they will feel more comfortable giving more candid answers.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insights and perspectives from the students. For faculty, staff, and administrative members, please come ready to ask your questions.

This event will be organized in a HyFlex format. Please register at https://forms.gle/21Y2TBkWAMo9X4cX6 by Tuesday, February 21, to confirm your participation. If you choose to attend virtually on Zoom, please also complete the Zoom registration, available in the registration form.
