Message from the Pre-College Programs Director

Nelson Rodriguez

Greetings and welcome to the New Jersey City University Pre-College Programs, my name is Nelson Rodriguez and as of 2020 I was tasked with becoming your new Director. Pre-College is here to deliver support services to the students and families of Jersey City who want to succeed and create new and unimaginable opportunities. We are here for you, the scholars of the Pre-College Programs. Our staff, which includes administrators, counselors, mentors, tutors, educators, folks who care about your futures, are dedicated to provide educational enrichment, leadership development and community outreach all which will create an environment that inspires change in your life. It starts with a moment, the minute you are registered to be one of our Scholars, you will always be one of ours. We prepare the opening, but you will create the path.

It is the goal of the NJCU Pre-College Programs to ensure that ALL our Scholars actualize their full potential and pursue their lifelong ambitions.
