The School of Business Career Center at New Jersey City University (NJCU) will hold its 3rd Annual Career Fair from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in the Skyline Room at the School of Business in downtown Jersey City. The career fair provides an opportunity for local businesses and community partners to connect and network with NJCU students and alumni.

"Each year, job seekers meet and network with different employers to discuss a broad range of internship and job openings,” said Joshua Iannuzzi, director of Career Services at the School of Business. “Over 35 employers from corporate, government, and non-profit sectors and 150 graduate and undergraduate students attended the 2018 career fair. We look forward to another successful fair this year.”

Before the fair, students are encouraged to research participating employers, prepare an elevator pitch, dress professionally, and bring multiple copies of updated resume.

“Employers are often looking to source qualified local talent and hire from a diverse candidate pool,” continued Iannuzzi. “This fair is a great opportunity for those businesses to fulfill that commitment while also giving back to their local community.”

The Career Center at NJCU provides comprehensive services and resources to assist with researching careers, finding job opportunities, preparing for graduate school, improving resume writing, interviewing skills, and landing appropriate internships for career advancement.
