The JCPD, in conjunction with NJCU Public Safety, have determined this was an isolated incident posing no threat to the university community. Dear Members of the NJCU Community,
Due to an impending winter storm with adverse weather conditions forecasted to impact our area beginning in the overnight hours, and the current State of Emergency declared by Governor Murphy, please note the status of academic and business operations planned for Friday, January 19, 2024.
The University will be open, but switching to fully remote learning and work for its main campus, School of Business, and Fort Monmouth locations. Nonessential personnel should not report to campus. This announcement does not apply to weather-essential personnel who should report to work as usual.
There are no changes to other services on campus, including dining services, which will operate at regular times. All in-person events on campus are cancelled for January 19.
