The New Jersey City University men's volleyball team is back on the national stage — and you can cheer them on tonight from anywhere, for free!

The newly crowned CUNYAC Conference champion Gothic Knights (20-9) face Buffalo State in an NCAA Division III Tournament play-in game tonight, Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. The game can be watched live for free by clicking here.

NJCU earned its spot in the national field through perfection — going a perfect 10-0 in its first season in the CUNYAC, including two wins in the conference tournament, then capped it off with a dominant 3-1 victory over Baruch College on April 10 in the conference championship match. It is the first time in program history that the Gothic Knights have gone undefeated in conference play.

This is only the second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history for NJCU men's volleyball — and the first since 2021. Tonight's play-in contest against Buffalo State represents the program's first opportunity to win an NCAA Tournament match.

The milestone season is the 11th time in the program's 37-year history that the Gothic Knights have won 20 or more matches — and the third consecutive season they have reached that mark. Leading the way is head coach Carlo Edra '07, an NJCU alumnus, the CUNYAC Coach of the Year, and the winningest coach in program history.

The Gothic Knights are led by senior Alex Casais, who was named Most Valuable Player of the CUNYAC Tournament, alongside All-Tournament Team honorees Marcus Pardasie and Amaru Perales. The championship roster features additional standout student-athletes who have powered NJCU's historic season.

Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. to support the NJCU men's volleyball team.
