The M.S. in Cybersecurity program will provide a range of skills required for an increasingly connected world, where the security of information is critical. This degree aims to equip the students with the mathematical, technical, and business tools to secure an organization’s information systems. The M.S. in Cybersecurity is designed to provide a strong foundation and detailed technical knowledge in information security, computer security, network security, and software security as well as an appreciation of the social, policy, ethical and legal aspects of security and privacy.

One of the Few Programs with Multiple Federal Designations
Our National Security Studies program is one of a few in the country to have federal designations as both a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and an Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence.
For years, NJCU's Department of Professional Security Studies (PSS) has worked hard to maintain and update our Cyber Defense Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) designation from the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As of September 2019, the Department is also an Intelligence Community CAE (IC-CAE) as the result of winning a grant from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The IC-CAE designation was earned as part of a consortium with Rutgers University and CUNY.
