NJCU Symphony, Winds, and Percussion

The NJCU Symphony of Winds and Percussion, directed by Patrick J. Burns, will present "The Beauty of Peace", a concert series of classic and modern music for wind band, in Ridgewood, Kearny, and on campus at the Margaret Williams Theatre.

The Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre presents a Holiday Choral Concert, with the NJCU Concert Chorale, conducted by Dr. Robert Prowse, and special guest choir C4. The featured work will be John Rutter's "Gloria" for choirs and brass instruments. C4 will present original compositions written and conducted by its members.

The Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre presents “An Evening of Comic Opera”, sung in English with piano accompaniment. Featured works are Giancarlo Menotti’s “The Telephone” and Wolfgang Mozart’s Finale to “The Magic Flute.” Directed by Dr. Robert Prowse and accompanied by Alla Milchtein, the singers are all NJCU music students. Performances will take place in Ingalls Recital Hall, Rossey Building, on the Main campus of NJCU at 7:30 pm on Saturday, December 9 and 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 10. Admission is FREE and open to the public.

The Pop/R’n’B Ensemble is the creation of the NJCU Music Business program. It is dedicated to performing classic “pop” with a focus on rhythm & blues music from the pens of 20th century tunesmiths whose work ruled the airwaves from the 1960s to the present day.
