"Zoom with IT"  (Virtual Help Desk)

Join us Monday through Friday, every week, for "Live" Training and Support Sessions provided online from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM 

In order to attend, register for each daily "Zoom with IT" (Virtual Help Desk) session: 

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the details needed to join the session.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Department of IT is offering "Live" Online Training and Technical Support (for Zoom - Video Conferencing, Panopto - Lecture Capturing, VPN and Remote Desktop, GothicNet, DUO - Two Factor Authentication, Email, Voicemail, and more, EVERY DAY (M - F) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in an "Open Zoom Session." An email was previously sent out to all Faculty and Staff with all of the necessary details and the Zoom link. If you did not see this email, please contact the IT Help Desk and request a copy of the email. 

Zoom features high quality video conferencing with crisp audio and mobile screen sharing. With Zoom you can meet anywhere, any time, and on any device. Zoom can also be used as an audio conferencing tool, featuring a single phone number that all attendees can dial into and participate in the conversations. Password protection (for security) is also available. Zoom also offers the ability to record both the audio and video of any conferencing.

All NJCU Faculty, Staff and Students can sign up for a free pro/licensed account

All NJCU Students, Faculty and Staff have access to the Pro / Licensed version of Zoom. (No time limits, unlimited meetings, etc.) If anyone already has, or had a current account (using their NJCU Email Address), even if it was originally set up as a “basic” account, it has now been upgraded to the full Premium / Licensed version of Zoom.  The Premium / Licensed version of Zoom is now available to all Students, Faculty and Staff with an NJCU Email Address.

For anyone who doesn’t yet have an account, they should visit  and click the Sign-Up button to get an account now.  It will automatically be set to the Licensed version (no time limits, etc.).  They will simply need to go through the necessary account creation steps, which include setting a password, etc. 

REQUIREMENT:  Everyone needs to use their NJCU Email Address when signing up for a Zoom account.

If anyone has any specific questions or needs additional help, they should contact the IT Help Desk.

TUTORIALS:  At the very bottom of the page there is a link for Zoom Support.  On this support page, everyone will have access to numerous videos and documents to get them started, and beyond.

Remote Network Access through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection is a secure solution that allows NJCU employees, contractors, and consultants to access the campus network and network services from off campus over the public Internet. This allows members of the University community to access NJCU network resources as if they were on campus. It is an essential tool for those who need to work while off campus.

Microsoft Exchange® Email is a server-based email system that uses the Microsoft Outlook® desktop application as the primary user client. In addition Email, Outlook serves as a comprehensive personal information manager (PIM) that provides:

  • Calendar - appointments, meetings, and events; including calendar sharing and assigning assistant management.
  • Personal and Global Address books (Contacts) that can store multiple personal email addresses and telephone numbers, important dates and notes per entry.
  • Multi-level email storage (folders) for easy message management.
  • Task management, including the ability to assign and track tasks to others.
  • Notes creation and management.

The Department of Information Technology is pleased to announce the implementation of a new state-of-the-art wireless network. Wireless access to the NJCU network is now available everywhere across the campus including classrooms, dormitories, campus buildings and outdoor spaces.

The wireless network is called NJCUWiFi and provides secure access to the internet and campus network resources. All NJCU students, faculty, and staff can access the wireless network using their GothicNet ID and password.

You'll be able to conduct sophisticated research campaigns, collect and analyze your data easily, and generate reports that can formatted and shared with dynamic graphs and charts. Qualtrics keeps things simple but includes many powerful features and options.
