Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the Women's Center for Equity and Diversity do?
A: The Women's Center for Equity and Diversity focuses on sponsoring programming that shines a light on typically marginalized populations, like the LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, and people who are disabled, among many others. We aim to provide an open and welcoming space where folx can feel like their voices are being heard and where they receive the resources they need.

Q: Who can come to the Center?
A: ANYONE! The Center is open to all people. Whether you are seeking guidance and/or support, volunteer opportunities, somewhere to do your internship or work study, or just a quiet place to study, our office is open to all.

Q: But, can men come too?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We welcome all genders!

Q: Do you go only when you are "having problems"?
A: You can come to the Center if you are seeking help, but you don't really need a reason to come by!

Q: How can I get involved?
A: You can apply to be a volunteer, do your internship with us, work study, stop by our office or attend our events!

Q: Where are you located?
A: Gilligan Student Union Building, 3rd Floor, RM. 318

Q: What are your hours?
A: Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (except during summer hours which are noted on the home page)
