INTRODUCTION AND STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
NJCU compliance with Hallmark 7 of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education
POLICY
Recommendations from the Senate Committee on Instructional Technology to enhance NJCU compliance with the criteria specified in Hallmark 7 of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (2011) document entitled Distance education Program: Interregional Guideline for the Evaluation of Distance Education (Online Learning):
- Utilizing the results of the Cyber Primer self-test and evaluation to revise training and support materials, as necessary. Maintain monitoring and reporting of the effects of changes made.
- Document the use of and satisfaction with services, and use this information to improve services.
- Creating an online learning webpage on the University website that highlights completely online programs and courses.
- All online courses must have course evaluations.
DATE TO INITIATE REVIEW AND UPDATE
As deemed necessary or appropriate by the Policy Coordinator but at a minimum, at least every 5 years from the date of last review.
