75 Hour Real Estate Sales Person's License Course
This is the NJ approved 75 hour pre-licensure program to prepare qualified individuals to become a legal real estate sales agent. Real estate agents help people buy property, sell property, or rent property. Agents talk with clients to find out what kind of property they want and what they are willing to sell or pay, and any specific amenities they are seeking. They work with a real estate broker to find properties that suit their client's needs and perform duties, such as study property listings, interview prospective clients, accompany clients to property sites, discuss conditions of sale, and draw up real estate contracts.This course will cover everything one needs to pass the NJ state exam including:

• Listing Agreements
• Ethical and Fair Housing Issues
• Mortgages
• NJ Real Estate Commission Rules
• Agency and Brokerage

Real Estate License Requirements
To qualify for a Real Estate Salesperson's license an applicant must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school education or equivalency, complete a 75-hour pre-licensure course at a licensed school and pass the license examination. After successfully completing the course and passing the examination the applicant must apply for a license through a sponsoring Real Estate Broker. In addition the Commission must be satisfied as to the applicant's honesty, trustworthiness, character and integrity.

Rasila Thakkar
Rasila's teaching career began in the 60's as a Tutor. She continued her passion of teaching while working in corporate, mentoring new employees. After a brief pause, she returned to teaching as a Substitute Teacher in the 80’s. She also became a Certified Mentor for new Real Estate Agents. She received her Graduate of Real Estate Institute (GRI) designation, her Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation and a host of other real estate designations and licenses, with all authority to sell insurance, as well as provide Life, Health, Property/Casualty & Title instruction in New Jersey.
In 2001, she received her Broker/Salesperson License and has taught in various institutions since. She joined New Jersey City University in 2005 and is currently the Director for the Real Estate Program.
Rasila's passion for learning continues and she is excited to pour her wealth of knowledge on to others.
