REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY: Students can only apply after they have completed the 50-hour Introduction to Teaching course AND have the following documents ready to include in their application:
- An official transcript with a cumulative 2.75 GPA (if you graduated prior to September 2016) or a 3.0 GPA (if you graduated after September 2016) or higher from a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.(Official transcripts must arrive at NJCU in a sealed envelope, or via email, from the institution from which you are making the request. If you have an official transcript mailed to your location, please do not open it. Just include that sealed envelope in your New Pathways application.)
- Submit proof of a Certificate of Eligibility (CE).
- Verification of Completion from 50-hour Introduction to Teaching class.
- A letter of employment from the hiring manager or administrator on letterhead from your school or school district. Employment as a classroom teacher is required for participation in the program.
