Upcoming Workforce Development Programs

Logistics TLD Essentials Training Program runs October 7 through November 1. TLD Essentials Program is a free four-week training program in warehouse operations for men and women. Funded in part by JP Morgan & Chase, the program provides training in the TLD (Transportation, Logistics and Distribution) industry, one of New Jersey’s largest sectors of growth and employment. Graduates of the program receive certifications in Forklift Operation, Fundamentals of Logistics/Warehousing and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA). Join us for our Fall Semester Open House on Tuesday September 24 at 11:00am in the NJCU Center for Workforce and Community Development located at 285 West Side Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305. Anchored by our Logistics Center that trains over 165 individuals with a successful employment placement rate of 70% each year, our trainees must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably have a valid driver’s license. NJCU offers a variety of workforce development programs in Allied Healthcare, Business, Hospitality, Information Technology Logistics, Maritime, and Media aimed at helping residents from Jersey City and surrounding areas develop the middle skills required to succeed in today's ever changing economy.
