Welcome to the Transfer Resource Center!

Transferring to a new school can be a challenging experience at the best of times. Our goal at the Transfer Resource Center is to provide services to prospective, new and continuing transfer students to help them as they transition into the NJCU community.

We hope that the information you find on this page will be helpful in answering some of your questions and assist you as you join our family here at NJCU. We're excited to have you here!




    National Transfer Student Week

    October 21st – October 25th

    Starting on Monday, October 21st, the Transfer Resource Center is hosting our annual National Transfer Student Week, a series of events around the NJCU campus dedicated to our current and future transfer students! This is an excellent week to show off your NJCU pride and join us around campus at our events:

    Monday: Pizza Day
    Join us at Reigns Plaza (between Hepburn and the Library) to celebrate our transfer students with some free pizza! 
    12 – 2pm | Reigns Plaza

    Tuesday: Arcade Day
    Cosponsored by the Center for Leadership and Engagement, play games on PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch and connect with the transfer community.
    12:30 – 4pm | Multipurpose Rooms B & C

    Wednesday: Transfer Treats
    Enjoy fall treats and activities with the Transfer Resource Center.

    Thursday: Career Readiness Day
    Learn some more about resume development, cover letters, and interviewing skills.

    Friday: Green and Gold Day
    Drop by the Transfer Resource Center and show us your NJCU Pride and get free NJCU Transfer Resource Center swag.

    Transfer Resource Center Mission

    The Transfer Resource Center is committed to serving transfer students by helping them prepare for rewarding academic experiences, easing their transition to New Jersey City University and promoting their progress toward timely graduation by:

    • Providing transcript evaluations and course articulation services
    • Advocating and assisting in their transition to the university community
    • Connecting them to student-centered services and academic departments for assistance with admissions, advising, registration and academic support services
    • Spotlighting and celebrating academic excellence and university community involvement
