An Agent of Change for Our State

As an educational institution, we have the resources to deliver programs that can benefit everyone in New Jersey. What’s more, we’ve discovered that a majority of our graduates opt to stay in-state and become our next generation of parents, citizens, community leaders, and policy makers—who then make the Garden State a great place to live, work and play.

Garden State Guarantee

NJCU is proud to partner with the State of New Jersey to offer the Garden State Guarantee (GSG). This is a historic investment which will afford undergraduate students with adjusted gross incomes of $65,000 or less the opportunity to attend our State’s four-year public institutions tuition-free for two years. The GSG builds upon our successful multi-year investment at NJCU demonstrated through our Debt-Free Promise Program

As New Jersey faces the challenges of rebuilding a devastated economy due to the coronavirus crisis, NJCU has partnered with other state public colleges and universities to offer a special program for NJ college students currently attending school out-of-state.

Through this program, students may seamlessly transfer to one of New Jersey’s outstanding public universities like NJCU, benefit from in-state tuition benefits and take part in community-building volunteer activities.
