OSP Peer Mentor

Whether you're a freshman just starting out, a transfer student adjusting to a new campus, or a senior preparing for life after graduation, having a Peer Mentor can make a big difference. As part of your OSP experience, you’ll be paired with a Peer Mentor who has been through similar experiences and understands the ups and downs of college life. Peer Mentors are here to help you stay on track, navigate challenges, and make the most of your time in school. Your Peer Mentor will meet with you on a weekly basis to provide guidance, answer questions and offer advice on academic and personal success! It’s a supportive, judgment-free space to grow and succeed throughout your college journey. Interested in being a peer mentor please reach out to Leslie Graham-Wilson at lwilson2@njcu.edu

OSP Podcast

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the OSP Podcast, "OSP Unmuted," was created in March 2020 to support students as they navigated the mental health impacts of isolation resulting from stay-at-home orders across the nation. At the time, the podcast provided students with a platform to address their personal and collective challenges while also fostering a sense of community.
Currently, the podcast continues to serve as a space for students to discuss and voice their concerns and experiences as college students in the 21st century. It allows OSP students to connect with one another and educate their peers about services and opportunities available within the NJCU community and the broader Hudson County area. If you have any questions, please email dmervil@njcu.edu

OSP Social Media

The OSP social media platforms, which include Instagram and TikTok, showcase the various activities and events taking place within the OSP program. The purpose of these platforms is to give our followers a glimpse into the OSP experience as we continue to support our scholars throughout their time at New Jersey City University.
