About the Accounting Department

Accounting involves recording, organizing, understanding and communicating a firm’s financial information. Our curriculum prepares students for various roles and certifications, including the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) examination.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Accounting Department is to foster a thorough understanding of accounting, including a focus on ethics, by engaging students in skills-based collaborative learning. As the accounting field continues to evolve, our goal is to prepare students for employment opportunities in various sectors as well as further educational pursuits and certifications.

News

Congratulations to all NJCU – School of Business 2019 DMD Inductees who were inducted into Delta Mu Delta Zeta Gamma tonight. Thirteen (13) Graduate and 29 Undergraduate Students were inducted and the 2019 distinguished Dr. Jack Egan Meritorious Service Award went to Mr. Edward O'Connor. Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students to foster the well-being of its individual members and the business community as a whole. What a great achievement – you make us proud!
