Course Withdrawal & Tuition Refund Policy

Drop/Withdrawal Refund Policy

Students who withdraw from courses will receive a refund of tuition charges and fees according to the schedule listed below. In computing refunds, the date of withdrawal is the date on which the Office of the Registrar receives an official drop or withdrawal form from the student, not the last date of attendance.

Dropping a course(s) before the end of add/drop period results in a 100% reduction of charges for each credit below the flat rate for posted tuition. Withdrawal from course(s) during the posted 50% deadline results in a reduction of charges for each credit below the flat rate for posted tuition. Withdrawal from course(s) after the 50% deadline does not result in any reduction of charges. If classes are canceled by the University, tuition and mandatory fees are fully refunded. Late fee charges are not refunded. Meal plan (board) charges are non-refundable after the 100% drop period.

Requests or recommendations for refunds of tuition and fees after deadline dates must be forwarded in writing to the Office of Registrar Hepburn Hall, Room 214.
