Welcome to the Office of Student Accounts (Bursars Office) of New Jersey City University.

We look forward to working with you during your college career. 

COVID-19: During these current circumstances and events the Office of Students Accounts is remotely operating and has limited staff in the office during normal business hours .  Please contact our office via email at, please make sure to include your name and student Id#. If you are contacting our office by phone, please leave a clear voicemail message with your student Id# and we will send you a response at your NJCU email address.

Financial Disclosure Agreement: If you have a hold on your account blocking you from registering due to having to complete your Financial Disclosure Agreement. Login to your GothicNet account, please look at the top part of the page. If it does not say “Student Homepage” click on the drop down arrow and select this option. Once you are on your student homepage. Look for the tile that says “My Task”.

Student Health Insurance: NJCU policy requires comprehensive health insurance coverage for all matriculated students who are registered full time and enrolled in a degree-seeking program.

Please note: Students enrolled in a fully online program are exempt from this requirement. 

If you are being charged for NJCU health insurance you do have the option to waive the charge if you meet one of the following requirements, 1)students may either use an existing health insurance plan, or 2) enroll in a university-sponsored student health insurance plan (SHIP).The deadline to submit a waiver is Oct.7. Allow 2 to 3 business days for the waiver to be applied. Click here to waive the health insurance. 


The Office of Student Accounts manages the following functions:

  • Cashiering – posting payments, providing payment options, account inquiries, issue student refund checks, and administer monthly payment plans
  • Billing – produce and send electronic billing statements, follow-up notifications and third party invoices
  • Collections – delinquent student accounts, manage outside collection agencies
  • IRS Form 1098-T Tax Forms – produce and provide students with Tuition Statements according to federal guidelines.

(When Classes Are in Session)
Monday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

Summer Office Hours 
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday - 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Closed 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. for lunch)

Please note, that the Office of Student Accounts will be open until 7:00 p.m. at the beginning of the semester for registration, add/drop, and to accept payments.

The Office of Student Accounts will also be open until 7:00 p.m. on the payment deadline for the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer semesters.
