Office of Student Accounts

Welcome to the Office of Student Accounts (Bursars Office) of New Jersey City University.

We look forward to working with you during your college career. 

The Office of Student Accounts manages the following functions:

  • Cashiering – posting payments, providing payment options, account inquiries, issue student refund checks, and administer monthly payment plans
  • Billing – produce and send electronic billing statements, follow-up notifications and third party invoices
  • Collections – delinquent student accounts, manage outside collection agencies
  • IRS Form 1098-T Tax Forms – produce and provide students with Tuition Statements according to federal guidelines.

The University’s official form of communication is via your NJCU email account. Please see our Electronic Notification Policy by selecting Policy Information on the tabs above.




  • Fall deadline for all students is September 1st. 
  • Fall 2022 payment plans are now available for 4 installments until August 31st. 


Financial Disclosure Agreement: If you have a hold on your account blocking you from registering due to having to complete your Financial Disclosure Agreement. Login to your GothicNet account, please look at the top part of the page. If it does not say “Student Homepage” click on the drop down arrow and select this option. Once you are on your student homepage. Look for the tile that says “My Task”. After clicking on the tile at the top left section of your page click on your "To Do List".  Here you will see all activities and/or items that need completing.  

Barnes & Nobles First Day Complete (Textbook Rental Program)

NJCU has partnered with Barnes & Noble to offer your required course materials in a convenient package before the first day of class—all for a $24 flat fee per credit that will save you between 35-50% when compared to purchasing materials separately. The Barnes & Noble First Day Complete program is completely voluntary and begins in Fall 2022.

If you would prefer not to participate in this convenient, cost-saving program, you may opt out here starting August 1, 2022. The Opt-Out Deadline for Fall 2022 is September 15, 2022. 


Please be advised NJCU will no longer be offering student insurance after the Spring 2022 semester. Students being covered be the student insurance plan will have to seek their own coverage for the 2022-2023 school year.

Virtual Zoom Walk-In Service

The Office of Student Accounts is no longer doing virtual walk-in services. Zoom meetings can be scheduled by contacting us at

Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

We are no longer doing our regular late night schedule. If you would like to come in after 5PM and before 6:45PM you can do so by appointment only. For appointments please contact 201-200-3040 or

Summer Office Hours  Beginning the week of June10, 2022 and ending on August 19, 2022
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


The Office of Student Accounts will also be open until 6:45 p.m. on the payment deadline for the Fall and Spring semesters.
