About the Program

Proyecto Science is an intensive multi-year summer enrichment program that unlocks STEM potential in promising middle and high school students. Over four consecutive summers starting in 7th grade, students take college-level courses in algebra, calculus, statistics, biology, chemistry, physics and more.

Through dynamic hands-on learning, students strengthen their mastery of core STEM subjects while gaining critical thinking skills, quantitative literacy, and vision for college studies and careers ahead. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and attend an informational open house.

The program is funded through the generosity of sponsoring school districts, Novartis, and the Bloomberg Foundation. Qualifying 7th graders are invited to apply for this selective opportunity to join a close-knit community where young scientists thrive.

Proyecto Science Enrollment

The cost to attend Proyecto Science varies year-to-year based on available funding. All prospective students receive full details on expected costs during open houses and in their acceptance materials.

Participating students are selected carefully from partner schools and districts to build a high-potential cohort committed to STEM excellence. The program may be unable to operate in a given summer if sufficient funds cannot be secured.

Applications for the 2024 Summer Program are now pending review.

Thank you to all students, families, and school districts that have shown an interest in the program. Acceptance notifications will be sent via email to the parent/guardian who applied on behalf of their student at the end of April.
