Director's Message

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in the NJCU Honors Program. Located in a dynamic metropolitan region, our program offers motivated students a unique and immersive learning experience. We strive to cultivate civically engaged leaders, and provide our students with transformative community engaged learning opportunities. Our rich array of programming includes a wide mix of challenging courses, opportunities to study abroad, one-on-one faculty mentoring, and a variety of social and co-curricular activities. If you are a motivated and high-achieving high school student, we encourage you to apply to our program.

NJCU honors students are a diverse group of individuals who come together to form a close-knit community. Our student body includes many first-generation-to–college students, first and second generation immigrants, and students who have lived in New Jersey and nearby states for generations.  We enroll students of myriad ethnicities, backgrounds, faiths, and gender identities. Our focus in the Honors Program is to utilize a holistic approach to enrich the experience of our students. Many of our honors graduates have moved into the highest levels of their varied professions, and have carried with them the community spirit and values that they acquired at NJCU.
