The Computer Science curriculum is supported by several labs equipped with state-of-the-art PC based Dell computers running the latest versions of Windows operating systems. These facilities are dedicated for use by Computer Science majors, Computer Science minors, and students enrolled in Computer Science courses. The labs provide an environment where faculty can support instructional activities and students can implement projects required in course work. Lab activities include hands-on implementation of special projects and assignments that provide real-world experience facilitating a student's transition to the professional environment or to advanced study.
The lab is open approximately 80 hours a week, Monday through Saturday. These include some evening hours. Lab assistants are available, during most of the labs' operating hours.
Please contact the Computer Science department for information on student assistants.
The University library has been recently renovated and has network and electrical outlets available for laptop users from every study carroll throughout the building. They also have many computer workstations available.
The Computer Science Department has a close working relationship with Information Technology Services. The labs all use the University's network infrastructure, managed by ITS Specialists. The hardware and peripherals in the labs are maintained by the Computer Science Department.
