Rebound: Academic Probation Program

Rebound is a university-wide academic probation program that ensures students on academic probation (CGPAs below 2.0) receive regularly scheduled tutoring, counseling, academic advisement, and academic coaching.

Participation in Rebound may help students exit academic probation, continue receiving financial aid, successfully appeal academic dismissal, learn about student support services, and graduate from NJCU in a timely manner.

The Rebound Team includes members from the following offices: The Office of the Provost; The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management; Office of The Dean of Students; Office of Centralized Tutoring and Academic Support Programming; University Advisement Center (UAC); Office of Student Outreach and Retention (SOAR); ASCEND Program; TRiO Learning Community Program (TLC); Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP); Athletics; and more.

Students on academic probation should expect to receive Rebound communications before the semester begins.

Week of January 10 - Rebound Spring 2022 Communications begin

Monday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom - Rebound Orientation 1.0

Thursday, February 10 at 5:00 p.m. via Zoom - Rebound Orientation 1.2

Monday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom - Rebound Group Meeting 2.0

Monday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom - Rebound Group Meeting 3.0

Monday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom - Rebound Group Meeting 4.0

Rebound Counseling Services

Rebound Counseling Services, facilitated by Rebound Counselor Interns, are available Monday through Friday during the fall semester.

Rebound Meditation Sessions are held on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. via Zoom

Rebound Counseling Workshops are held on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. via Zoom.

About Me: Reflections on Entering Spaces (NEW WORKSHOP!)

Empowering discussions on the importance of drawing upon our experiences, beliefs, cultures, and existing knowledge as we engage in various academic, professional, and social spaces. 

The workshop is limited to 5 participants. Participants may register for either the Tuesday or the Thursday group. 

Tuesday Group: begins on February 8th at 3:00 p.m.

Thursday Group: begins on February 10th at 3:00 p.m.
