There is a special emphasis in the development of expertise in ceramics through testing the material chemistry of glazes and clay bodies in combination with firing techniques. The program offers a breadth and depth of knowledge and a unique opportunity for students to develop skills in focus, discipline, and visual communication. Contemporary practices and personal voice are explored through the expressive potential of clay.
