    Interim Dean, Fran Moran's announcement:
    "...join me in thanking Prof. Antoinette Ellis-Williams for adding the role of Chairperson of the African and African-American Studies Program to her director responsibilities of the Hagan Africana Studies Center. We believe that through her leadership we can develop a synergy that will benefit both programs and improve the educational and cultural experience of our students." 


    Provost and Senior Vice President, Daniel J. Julius' announcement:
    "I am pleased to announce that Dr. Karen Morgan Ivy will become the Assistant Provost in Academic Affairs commencing January 2015, reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice President. Karen has a distinguished record at NJCU, in the Mathematics department, and in her work regionally and nationally. Her skills, enthusiasm, intellectual acumen, ethics and knowledge of the university will be invaluable as we move forward to enhance academic autonomy, standards and processes, build a community of learners, strengthen shared governance, promote developmental opportunities for faculty and find ways to improve the student experience. She will be working in all of these areas and will also continue her activity on the “Opening the Gate: Improving Mathematics for Success in Stem Careers” grant. Please join me in congratulating her in this important new role."

    Sunshine Fund

    The purpose of the Sunshine Fund is to support BAAFSSO members during times of trials and celebration. This can take the form of cards, flowers and/or monetary donations. 
    It is the responsibility of each member to notify the President of BAAFSSO of relevant events in each member's life. BAAFSSO asks each member to contribute $20 each academic year. Unspent proceeds will be rolled over each year.
