Where It All Started
The project I have been conducting is called “Where It All Started”, a fantasy, adventure novel I have dreamed of writing for many years. I came to write this novel because of my collection of books. I have enjoyed many fantasy novels and have created many different adventures with my imagination. I started drawing my first image as I wrote chapter one. I couldn’t get around the details and struggled to describe the main scene. Drawing the scenes from the chapters helps me understand better at what I wanted to happen within the chapters.
Some goals I have for these drawings is that I would like to have them in the novel themselves so that the readers can not only enjoy the story but can also enjoy the scenes and the details within. The hues I chose to use in all the drawings is the grey scale with only one bit of color, pale and desaturated. The different hues represent the mood of the scene and/or the aura of the characters. I have combined all the skills I have taught myself and been taught in university to illustrate these detailed scenes. I took the design of book illustrations and tattoo style designs to create the images displayed.
