Lil is a New Jersey based visual artist with a focus in photography. She also paints in oils and acrylic. She is inspired by her surroundings both in her travels and locally. She is driven to document what she sees with her photography and prefers painting from life to other techniques. However, She also likes to take artistic liberty and is heavily influenced by surrealism. This is especially so in her painting as well as when she is shooting experimentally. She is passionate about history. She is also passionate about the appreciation and preservation of beauty. Through her photography and painting she is able to take from these passions to create something new and emphatic

Locations are nostalgic for all of us whether we realize it or not. Documentation is reflective of the way a society changes. These are just two of the reasons this type of photography is so important to her. There are some structures that can't be saved due to logistics and practicality. There are others that are lost to monetary greed or convenience. No matter the situation she finds photography of infrastructure and architecture to be imperative. It enables her to create new aesthetics derived from existing cultural treasures and ensures they are not lost to time entirely.
