About the SAB

SAB Vision Statement:

We, the members of the Student Activities Board (SAB), strive to provide the campus with diverse programs of cultural, social, educational, and recreational nature through the efforts of students who actively plan, implement, and evaluate programs.

SAB Mission Statement:

The SAB exists for the betterment of the New Jersey City University community as a whole and to remain responsive to student attitudes, interests, and needs. It also provides programs that reflect and respond to those interests and fosters the social, intellectual, and moral development of the members of the NJCU community.

The SAB shall not be discriminatory in terms of race, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, social status, physical abilities, or any other protected status.

Parris Johnson

I’m Parris Johnson, your Student Activity Board President. I am so excited to implement fun, engaging and, educational events on campus, after so long! I am looking forward to meeting all the new students! See you soon!

Shouhaybou Mbow

Hi my name is Shouhaybou Mbow and I’m a junior at NJCU. As the current Vice President of programming for SAB, I’m looking forward to creating an environment where students can come and enjoy themselves without thinking of any homework or assignments. I want students to feel like there is a place where they can come have fun and get active on campus. My goal for this school year is to bring back the ambiance and excitement of an in-person college experience after all the breakdowns we all went through.

Oluwapelumi Lumi Oyedeji

Hi everyone, my name is Oluwapelumi (Lumi) Oyedeji and I am the Vice President of Media and Marketing for the Student Activities Board. I am an Junior and my major is Exercise Science. I am super excited to be a part of creating fun and meaningful events on campus. I can’t wait to meet new people and make the NJCU experience better.

Hey NJCU! My name is Rudolph Vitale, and I am your Vice President of Finance for SAB. I am currently a junior pursuing a dual major in Finance and Music Business. Some of my hobbies include making music, working out, and spending time with loved ones. My goal for SAB is to bring events to the student body that deliver value, and take the stress away from exams, studying, and other priorities in life.
