Child Care Access Means Parents In School

The Children’s Learning Center has been awarded the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of CCAMPIS is to assist low-income students with child care expenses so that they can persist and graduate. Eligible student parents will receive a 50% discount towards their child care tuition at the Children’s Learning Center. Applicants will be selected based on need and space availability. 

Quick Facts

Parent Eligibility 

  • Current FAFSA on File
  • Pell Grant eligible 
  • Enrolled for at least 6 credits per semester 

Child Eligibility 

  • 2.5- 5 years old during Fall & Spring Semesters
  • 2.5- 6 years old during Summer Sessions  

Center Information

  • Center Hours 
    • Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • Full and part time scheduling available
  • Parents must enroll per semester 
  • $40 Registration Fee for initial enrollment & $10 Fee for each subsequent semester
  • Tuition $3.50 an hour (Eligible CCAMPIS parents will pay only $1.75 an hour out of pocket) 

CCAMPIS Program Requirements  

  • Attend an initial parent-teacher meeting
  • Attend at least 1 center activity or event
  • Complete annual surveys 
  • Remain in good academic standing at NJCU
