Paid Internship Opportunities-HACU

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is seeking applicants for the 2020 HACU National Internship Program (HNIP). This program offers students the opportunity to receive valuable work experience through paid internships at federal agencies and private corporations nationwide. Since 1992, HACU has coordinated more than 13,000 internship placements for students throughout the country.
 
The deadline for the summer 2020 session is February 14, 2020, summer 2020 quarter session is February 28, 2020 and the deadline for the fall session is June 5, 2020.

Janice S. Jones Teacher Scholarship Program

With help from dedicated members and a generous donation from our friends at the former Southeast Association for Employment in Education (SAEE), the American Association for Employment in Education (AAEE) is pleased to be able to offer two distinct scholarships for the upcoming year. Students may apply for one or both scholarships if they are eligible.

  • One $1,000 Critical Need Subject Area Teacher scholarship
  • One $1,000 Teacher of Color scholarship

American Museum of Natural History Announcing the 2020-2021 Helen Fellowship

Deadline January 19, 2020
The BridgeUP: STEM program at the AMNH is excited to announce that the application for the Helen Fellowship is now open. This fellowship is a one-year residency for post-baccalaureate, self-identifying women to devote time immersed in computational scientific research and educational outreach at the AMNH.  This fellowship is an initiative at the AMNH dedicated to increasing the diversity of the talent pipeline by providing underrepresented students access to the skills and tools required for the 21st Century.

  • Directing students to career publications listing jobs and providing career job-search information.
  • Providing individualized career counseling to discuss the choice of a major for careers of interest, planning a job search, researching career information, selecting a graduate program of study.
  • Administering vocational testing to evaluate interests.
  • Conducting workshops regarding selection of majors for careers of interest, applying to graduate school, writing resumes, learning interview skills.
  • Advising non-declared students regarding appropriate majors for career interests.

  • Cooperative Education Internships for declared majors.
  • Part-Time job opportunities.
  • Campus recruitment program.
