About the Office of the Controller

Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Office of the Controller is responsible for safeguarding the University's assets, allocating resources in accordance with the NJCU mission, and providing timely, accurate and meaningful financial information.  

The Office of the Controller manages the following functions:

Financial Reporting – provides financial reporting to University administrators and stakeholders, as well as federal, state and local regulatory bodies.

General Accounting – provides financial information that complies with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).  

Post-Award Grants and Contracts – manages the post-award administration of all externally sponsored grants, contracts and awards with the respective Project Managers.

Fixed Asset Management – manages and maintains the University’s fixed assets and ensure they are properly acquired, safeguarded, recorded and disposed of.


Office Hours 
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
Summer Office Hours 
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Closed Fridays
 
The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. See the NJCU Academic Calendar for holidays and University closings.
