Fiscal Planning and Budget Office

Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Fiscal Planning and Budget Office is responsible for coordinating the development of the University’s operating and capital budgets, including subsequent monitoring and analysis.  The office oversees the preparation of the annual budget submission to the State of New Jersey’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB), as well as other internal and external reporting requirements.  

The Fiscal Planning and Budget Office manages the following functions:

  • Operating Budget – provides guidance to University budget managers in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the institution’s annual operating budget.    
  • Capital Budget – coordinating with University administrators in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the University’s capital budget within the framework of the institution’s strategic mission and goals.
  • Budget Reporting – managing the development of the annual budget submission to the State of New Jersey, as well as timely and accurate budget reporting to the University administration, constituents and external stakeholders as needed.  
  • Budget Training – offers campus-wide training in the College’s budgetary policies and procedures.

The Fiscal Planning and Budget Office works collaboratively with the University community to build and sustain a balanced budget and promotes a transparent budget development process through collaborating with the University’s Budget Review Task Force and various stakeholders.

Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
Summer Office Hours 
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Closed Fridays
