About Student Development & Community Engagement
The Division is made up of three main areas: Student Affairs, the Office of the Dean of Students, and Student Leadership and Engagement.
Vision Statement
The Division of Student Development & Community Engagement seeks to become a recognized leader in higher education by providing a comprehensive array of essential services and engagement opportunities to our diverse student population, so they can succeed and create meaningful lives.
Mission Statement
The NJCU Division of Student Development & Engagement advances the learning and personal growth of students by providing leadership, services, and opportunities that enable students to succeed in and contribute to a global society.
SDCE provides leadership and support services attracting, enrolling, retaining and graduating a talented and diverse student body. To those ends, SDCE provides the following: comprehensive recruitment initiatives; strategically packaged student aid coupled with financial education and services; high-quality communications to students, their families; high quality student engagement activities; psychology counseling and health services; civic engagement and leadership opportunities, and self-service tools for student support services.
