The mission of the department of Facilities and Construction Management (FCM) is to promote, maintain, and develop a safe, professional, and comfortable environment conducive to teaching, learning, and working for NJCU students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members. Project Description:
To create a state-of-the-art virtual classroom for distance learning for approximately 30 persons

Squier Hall @ Fort Monmouth

Project Description: 
This project consists of the rehabilitation and renovations of Squier Hall and the surrounding property

  • The property consists of approximately 27.5 acres divided into two parcels of land
  • The existing structure, called Squire Hall, contains  76,583 sqft and six other buildings
  • The project will renovate 46,726 sqft of Squier Hall and demolish all other structures on the property

Athletic Capital Growth Enhancement

Project Description: 
Metro Field

  • Improve field with natural or artificial turf and provide amenities for softball and baseball

  • Field improvements for soccer, the running track, softball & baseball and provide a multipurpose field
  • Power Wellness Facility
  • Create a center to serve students, staff, athletes and the community. Provide services from partnerships with Healthcare providers

University Place Development

Project Description:
Work is currently progressing at University Place, a $400 million redevelopment project that aims to create a unique sense of place between NJCU’s main campus and the adjacent neighborhood. Upon completion, the project will have more than 600 market-rate apartments and more than 120,000 square-feet of transformative commercial space.  Future construction will bring additional shops, a supermarket, and other retail amenities. Also planned are academic and non- academic facilities. The first project completed at University Place was NJCU’s West Campus Village Residence Hall which opened in September 2016 and a future center for the performing arts is at the planning stages in 2020.
